Music

The Autumn Wine Festival stage brings together a talented mix of musicians. Their unique sounds set the tempo for the festival, and provide the perfect backdrop to swirl, sip and savor Maryland Wine! Be sure to bring a chair or blanket with you, as the festival stage is the perfect locale to uncork a bottle of Maryland wine and enjoy a tasty snack from one of our food vendors. Below is the lineup for the 2016 event.

alex&shiloh

Performing Saturday @ 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The singer/songwriter duo has garnered a loyal following as the main event at a variety of bars and pubs and as a generally adorable example of what happens when a brother and sister are friends first, siblings second and innovative musicians all the time. Musically, they meet up around pop with the occasional country standard thrown in, but nothing is off limits for alex&shiloh.

The Haymans with Special Guests Devil Eat The Cat

Performing Saturday @ 1-2:30 p.m.

The Haymans are Bob and Dory Hayman. Whether as a duo featuring Dory’s vocals and Bob’s guitar work or with many of Delmarva’s most talented musicians backing them up, they have been a staple of the Eastern Shore of Maryland’s music scene for over a decade. Their eclectic sound and song choices range from rock to jazz to country. The unique pairing of these two talents results in something truly original. Both draw on their respect for all genres of music and a resistance to be pinned down to a single style.

Born from a love of Celtic music, Devil Eat The Cat takes tradition and turns it on its ear. Fusing classic rock sensibility, pop hooks and jazz elements with traditional Celtic music, DETC knows no boundaries. Founding members Robin Cockey (fiddle) and Mick Haensler (percussion) join The Haymans for this one-time show at the Autumn Wine Festival.

Such Fools

Performing Sunday @ 1 - 2:30 p.m.

Such Fools are bound together on a quest for a meaningful musical experience amid the vast cultural wasteland known simply as "Delmarva." They are as diverse as their backgrounds. Mickey Justice, a singer of fine songs, a keen player of most everything and a Fool. He is a highly skilled master of the treble clef and was raised in the hinterlands by a family of Dire Wolves from the fabled village of Frontier Town. He is one of the youngest people ever to achieve the rank of Mandolin Jedi.
Todd Smith, a singer of fine songs, master of all in the realm of the low notes and a Fool. He was raised on the mean streets of Detroit, armed with an upright bass in one hand. And in his other hand, was the rest of that upright bass. As everyone knows that an upright bass is nearly impossible to carry with just one hand. When he is not slaying bass, Todd selflessly manages to keep the matrix safe for all of us. We are all in debt to him. Dick Morris, a singer of fine songs, distracted noodler of guitar and a Fool. He was seduced at a young age by the rich, yet archaic medium known as the vinyl record album. He is currently making his third attempt at a freshman year studying the mysterious branch of applied physics known as "String Band Theory."

Genre: Acoustic, Folk
