2007 Autumn Wine Festival A Success

SALISBURY, MD - The 2007 Wicomico County Autumn Wine Festival held October 20 and 21 at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury, Maryland saw beautiful autumn weather and a record number of attendees!

The event celebrated its 5th anniversary with a record fifteen participating wineries and nearly fifty arts, crafts and food vendors. What's more, live music from a variety of musical groups filled the air as attendee sampled many varieties of wine.

A special thanks is extended to the more than 130 volunteers that made the event run smoothly from beginning to end. The festival would also not have been possible with out sponsor contributions from local businesses including Pepsi, WMDT, Clear Channel Outdoor, The Centre at Salisbury, Bennett Construction, and in kind donations from Grist Mill Gardens, Green Hill Yacht and Country Club and the State Highway Administration.

We hope that everyone enjoyed their time spent at the festival and will make plans to attend again next year. Plans are already underway for the sixth annual festival slated for October 18-19, 2008. Be sure to visit www.autumnwinefestival.org for more information as the event nears!

PICK UP YOUR WINE FESTIVAL TICKETS NOW AND SAVE!
Discounted tickets available in several locations for the October 20-21 event

Salisbury, MD - Tickets for the upcoming Autumn Wine Festival are now available at the Wicomico Civic Center Box Office, at all Bank of Delmarva locations and all Maryland PNC Bank branches. The discounted advance tickets may also be purchased at the Civic Center Box Office and online at www.WicomicoCivicCenter.org.

Advance tickets are $15 plus fees and include a complimentary wine glass and wine samples. Tickets purchased at the gate are $20 or $5 for designated drivers.

The festival will feature fourteen Maryland wineries, fine arts and crafts and an array of festival foods. Plus local and regional jazz performers are set to take the stage. The entertainment line-up is as follows:

Volunteers Needed for Autumn Wine Festival

Salisbury, MD - Help make the fifth annual Autumn Wine Festival a success by becoming a volunteer.

The Autumn Wine Festival returns to Pemberton Park October 20-21, 2007 and will feature more than a dozen of Maryland's finest wineries along with live jazz entertainment, numerous fine arts and crafts booths and refreshments from local food vendors!

All volunteers will receive free admission to the event on Saturday or Sunday and a complimentary t-shirt.

Preparations for 5th Annual Autumn Wine Festival Underway!

Salisbury, MD - The Wicomico County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau will host the fifth annual “AUTUMN WINE FESTIVAL” on October 20th & 21st at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury.

The event is one of only four such festivals sanctioned by the Association of Maryland Wineries and is the only one on the Eastern Shore. The event will feature wines from more than a dozen Maryland Wineries, as well as local cuisine, juried arts & fine crafts and live jazz music.

More details about the festival will be available in the near future. Be sure to check the website often and sign up for our Visitor E-newsletter to keep up to date on attending wineries, entertainment, arts and craft vendors and more! 4th Annual Autumn Wine Festival Boasts Record Attendance!

Salisbury, MD - The 4th Annual Autumn Wine Festival, held October 21-22, 2006, was marked by beautiful fall foliage, comfortable autumn weather, and record numbers of wineries, vendors and crowds!

Featuring a dozen Maryland wineries, nearly sixty arts, crafts and commercial vendors, and live jazz music from local, regional and national artists, this year’s festival attracted more than 5,000 people to the sprawling grounds of Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury, Maryland, making it our most successful wine festival to date!

On behalf of the entire department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism, I would like to thank the community for embracing the fourth annual Autumn Wine Festival and making it one of the Eastern Shore’s fastest growing traditions. A special thanks is extended to the more than 130 volunteers that made the event run smoothly from beginning to end.

Entertainment Line-Up Announced for 4th Annual Autumn Wine Festival!

Salisbury, MD - The Wicomico Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism will host the fourth annual "AUTUMN WINE FESTIVAL" on October 21st & 22nd at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury.

Featuring wines from more than a dozen Maryland Wineries along with local cuisine, juried arts and crafts and live jazz music, the event is one of only four such festivals sanctioned by the Association of Maryland Wineries and is the only one on the Eastern Shore.

Musical guests for the event include nationally acclaimed jazz groups Fire Escape, Liz Briones and local favorites the Back Fin Banjo Band and UMES Jazz Ensemble, along with an opening performance by "Full Spectrum," a U.S. Air Force Reserve Jazz Band. The music lineup is as follows:
