Do you love wine, the great outdoors, delicious food and live entertainment? Join us for the Autumn Wine Festival at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury, Maryland. Hosted by Wicomico Recreation, Parks & Tourism, this two-day festival is slated for Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st. Wine festival hours are Saturday from 11:00am until 6:00pm and Sunday from 12:30pm until 6:00pm. Over 20 vineyards and wineries will be featured at this year’s festival. Carroll Wine TrailCygnus Wine Cellars 3130 Long Lane, Manchester, Maryland 21102 Cygnus Wine Cellars is conveniently located in the historic town of Manchester (Carroll County) at 3130 Long Lane, one block east of Main Street behind the Maple Grove Business Center. Premium grapes from the top growers in the region are delivered to Cygnus Wine Cellars, where they are crushed, fermented, and blended to provide you the best in red and white table wines, and classic method sparkling wines. Chesapeake Wine TrailBordeleau Vineyards & Winery Vineyard owner and winemaker Thomas R. Shelton has been growing grapes since 1999 on his Eden, Maryland property which borders the pristine Wicomico Creek. It is the first licensed vineyard in Wicomico County. The name Bordeleau - "edge of the water" - was chosen to reflect not only the distinctive environment where their grapes are hand-harvested, but also the favorable climate similarities to the Bordeaux region of France. Cassinelli Vineyards and Winery Cassinelli Winery & Vineyards is a family-owned and operated boutique winery located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Their goal is to produce great wines from their own fruit and fruit sourced from other eastern shore vineyards. The 110-acre farm is planted with Merlot, Chardonnay and Viognier vines. Costa Ventosa Costa Ventosa is a casual, fun winery located on 10 acres of vineyards and farmland in beautiful Worchester County, just 10 minutes from Ocean City. In Italian, "Costa Ventosa" means "Windy Coast." The tasting room has a distinct Shore cottage feeling. Take a tour of the wine production area, gaze out over our 4 acre vineyard, or sit on the front porch with a glass of their delicious wines. Great Shoals Winery Whether you’re enjoying a quiet evening or celebrating special times, Great Shoals has a place in your glass. Our hand crafted sparkling wines will mark any occasion with tiny bubbles. We blend fruit from regional sources to create brut sparkling wines using the traditional méthode champenoise. Each bottle of Great Shoals Sparkling is filled with distinctive and complex flavors melded by the champagne process. Operations of Great Shoals Winery are based in Mount Vernon, Somerset County, MD, along a sandy bank of the Wicomico River, not far from Great Shoals Light on the Upper Tangier Sound of the Chesapeake Bay. Layton's Chance Vineyard After four generations of farming in the Salem area of Dorchester County as Lazy Day Farms, the Layton family has decided to share their love of agriculture by expanding their crops with wine grapes and by making wine. Come take pleasure in a "Lazy Day" at Layton's Chance Vineyard and Winery by walking the nature trails, relaxing in the picnic areas, touring our farm and vineyard, all the while drinking our great wine. Layton's Chance now produces nine wines, with a pleasing option for everyone. We offer reds and whites, sweet and dry, and our house Rosé, made with 100% Layton's Chance chambourcin grapes. We offer tours of the farm, vineyard, and winery, and our winery event room is an ideal location for hosting private events. St. Michaels Winery St. Michaels Winery is located in the historic Chesapeake Bay resort town of Saint Michaels, Maryland, situated on a peninsula in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay. Only 90 miles away from major metropolitan areas of Baltimore and Washington DC, St. Michaels’ rich heritage includes fine shipbuilding, excellent Bay seafood, shops, restaurants, and scenic views. Frederick Wine TrailLinganore Winecellars This 30 year old winery is nestled on 230 acres of rolling countryside, 4.5 miles northeast of historic New Market, Maryland. Using grapes from their Berrywine Plantation, Linganore Winecellers specializes in prized estate vintages, grape, fruit, and honey wines. This winery has won over 200 medals in national and international competitions and enjoys a reputation as a fun place to visit and sample wines in a casual setting. Orchid Cellar Specializing in meads made from honey and water via fermentation with yeast, Orchid Cellar began brewing because of family tradition. The Cellar uses the finest ingredients including the highest quality spices and honey from their very own bees. Orchid Cellar has won many awards including a Best in Class at the Maryland Governors Cup. Patuxent Wine TrailCove Point Winery Cove Point Winery is Southern Maryland’s first licensed winery, located in Calvert County across from Cove Point Park and just a short distance from Cove Point Lighthouse (oldest operating lighthouse on the Chesapeake). Although Cove Point Vineyard is a small vineyard, we also obtain grapes and juice from other local growers, as well as, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Washington, and California. Cove Point Winery is a family-owned micro winery that produces a number of different wines sure to please the palates of any wine drinker. Fridays Creek Winery Located on the fertile farmlands of Southern Maryland, Fridays Creek Winery is following in the rich agricultural history of Calvert County. A stately old barn where tobacco once hung now houses barrels of oak. We have an acre of vines to tour at the winery and a 10-acre vineyard down the road on the shores of the Patuxent River. Perigeaux Vineyards & Winery We are a micro-winery, specializing in making the highest quality wines from our own estate vineyards. Situated on a finger of land between the Patuxent River and Chesapeake Bay, our vinifera vines of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Montepulciano, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris thrive in sandy loam soils and benefit from warm Bay breezes. Our 8 acres of vines on our 27-acre farm provide a beautiful setting to enjoy traditionally crafted wines unique to the soils and climate of Southern Maryland. Slack Winery The Slack tasting room is located at Woodlawn Estate in Ridge Maryland. Vineyards of French and Italian vinifera are located at Woodlawn and Jubilee Farms. Specialty wines include Petite Manseng and sparkling whites and blush, and red wines from Barbera, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc. Winemaker Tucker Grube-O'Brien trained with Eric Fry at Lenz Winery in Long Island. Solomons Island Winery Solomons Island Winery was founded by Ken and Ann Korando and began operation in July 2004. It is located on 9.3 acres, just north of Solomons Island in southern Calvert County, Maryland. Solomons Island Winery produces nine award-winning wines. Piedmont Wine TrailBasignani Winery Located just north of Butler Road in Baltimore County, Basignani wines are classically styled and produced, using traditional "Old World" cellar methods. We invite you to visit with the winemaker and owner, Bert Basignani, who has been making award-winning wines for thirty years. Our goal is to make the best wines possible from our vineyard, as well as other premium vineyard sites in Maryland. Boordy Winery The oldest of Maryland's wineries, Boordy Vineyards is nestled in the Long Green valley of northeastern Baltimore County. Fine wines, champagne, and port are crafted in a historic 19th-century fieldstone barn. Special events are held throughout the year, including intimate tastings in the cellars, summer evening dance concerts, and open air festivals. Boordy's bucolic setting and old world charm allow you to forget that you're only a half-hour from downtown Baltimore. Fiore Winery La strada del vino rosso: In Maryland, "the road to the red wine" leads to Fiore Winery. Enjoy a bottle of Fiore wine with one of the Mid Atlantic’s most picturesque agricultural panoramas. Legands Winery "There’s a story in every bottle..." Legends is one of the newer vineyards in Harford County. In April 2008, over 2100 vines were planted. Four different varieties of vines will begin to grow: Merlot, Viognier, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay. The proprietors' love of wine quickly outgrew as a hobby when their dreams of owning a vineyard became a reality on an ideal site in Harford County. Woodhall Wine Cellars Visit Woodhall's rustic tasting room for a relaxed sampling of its wines; then tour the Production House where the wines are created, the Barrel Room where the wines are matured and the Stone Cellar where they rest until distributed. Complete your visit with a glass of your Woodhall favorite on the deck overlooking the vineyards. You may wish to consider renting the tasting room and deck for your next event. Woodhall is a prominent Maryland winery dedicated to the production of fine Maryland wines for the Mid-Atlantic region. Knob Hall Winery Located just west of Hagerstown and South of Whitetail Ski Resort, Knob Hall Winery has only been producing wine for a short time but has certainly proven their expertise. In 2010, its first year of bottling wines, it entered four wines in the Maryland Governor’s Cup Competition and won a "Best in Class" and three Gold Medals. With thirty acres of vineyard, the winery’s focus is on higher-end, ultra-premium "estate" wines. Far Eastern Shore Winery A family-owned, boutique micro-winery, Far Eastern Shore Winery is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the historic town of Easton. While the facility is not open to the public, you can taste their great wines at wine festivals across the state and their wines are available at numerous retailers.
