Wineries attending the Autumn Wine Festival in Maryland

Do you love wine, the great outdoors, delicious food and live entertainment? Join us for the Autumn Wine Festival at Pemberton Historical Park in Salisbury, Maryland. Hosted by Wicomico Recreation, Parks & Tourism, this two-day festival is slated for Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st. Wine festival hours are Saturday from 11:00am until 6:00pm and Sunday from 12:30pm until 6:00pm.

Over 20 vineyards and wineries will be featured at this year’s festival. Check out all of the wines that you can expect to taste this year below.

Vineyard owner and winemaker Thomas R. Shelton has been growing grapes since 1999 on his Eden, Maryland property which borders the pristine Wicomico Creek. It is the first licensed vineyard in Wicomico County. The name Bordeleau - "edge of the water" - was chosen to reflect not only the distinctive environment where their grapes are hand-harvested, but also the favorable climate similarities to the Bordeaux region of France.

Cassinelli Winery & Vineyards is a family-owned and operated boutique winery located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Cove Point Winery is Southern Maryland’s first licensed winery, located in Calvert County across from Cove Point Park and just a short distance from Cove Point Lighthouse (oldest operating lighthouse on the Chesapeake). "There’s a story in every bottle..." Legends is one of the newer vineyards in Harford County. In April 2008, over 2100 vines were planted. Four different varieties of vines will begin to grow: Merlot, Viognier, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay. The proprietors' love of wine quickly outgrew as a hobby when their dreams of owning a vineyard became a reality on an ideal site in Harford County.

Located just west of Hagerstown and South of Whitetail Ski Resort, Knob Hall Winery has only been producing wine for a short time but has certainly proven their expertise. In 2010, its first year of bottling wines, it entered four wines in the Maryland Governor’s Cup Competition and won a "Best in Class" and three Gold Medals. With thirty acres of vineyard, the winery’s focus is on higher-end, ultra-premium "estate" wines.

A family-owned, boutique micro-winery, Far Eastern Shore Winery is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the historic town of Easton.
